COVID-19: Status of City Operations; Florence Government Center Closed

CITY OFFICES:
All City of Florence offices, including all offices at the Florence Government Center, are CLOSED to in-person business and visitors. The city encourages residents and businesses to contact the city department they need to do business with for further direction:

CITY OF FLORENCE GROSS RECEIPTS BUSINESS RETURNS:
The City of Florence has extended both the filing and payment of the gross receipts business returns to July 15, 2020 without penalty or interest. All City of Florence occupational licenses with an expiration date of April 15, 2020, will now have that expiration date extended to July 15, 2020. The license should be renewed  by the normal process. This extension applies to gross receipts returns only and does not include quarterly payroll withholding returns and payments. Quarterly payroll withholdings returns and payments are due at the normal filing date of April 30, 2020.


BOONE COUNTY CLERK (VEHICLE REGISTRATION):
The Boone County Clerk vehicle registration office at the Florence Government Center is CLOSED
to in-person business and visitors. Please visit the County Clerk's website with questions or for additional information: www.booneclerk.com. Until further notice, there is a 90-day grace period for expired vehicle registrations.

BOONE CIRCUIT CLERK (DRIVER'S LICENSE):
The Boone Circuit Clerk driver's licensing offce at the Florence Government Center is CLOSED
to in-person business and visitors. Please call the Circuit Clerk's office at (859) 448-2900 with questions or for additional information. Until further notice, there is a 90-day grace period for expired driver's licenses.  

OWEN ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE:
The Owen Electric Cooperative office at the Florence Government Center is CLOSED
to in-person business and visitors, with the exception of the drive-thru that remains open. Please visit Owen Electric's website with questions or for additional information: www.owenelectric.com.

CITY PARKS:
All City of Florence parks are CLOSED until further notice. Multipurpose paths and walking trails remain open, but Kentucky Department of Public Health physical distancing protocols must be followed. 

FLORENCE GOVERNMENT CENTER COMMUNITY ROOMS:

The use of the Florence Government Center Community Rooms for all activities or meetings is suspended through at least Sunday, May 3, 2020. Additionally, no new reservations are being taken for the Community Rooms until further notice.
