Structure Fire - 8040 Burlington Pike

At 16:09 hours on Saturday January 7, 2012 Florence Fire/EMS units were dispatched to 8040 Burlington Pike for a reported structure fire.  The caller advised Boone County Public Safety Communications Center that there was black smoke coming from the roof at this address. 

Upon arrival units discovered a small volume of smoke issuing from the roof in an area undergoing demolition.  Investigation revealed that some combustible debris on the roof was burning, however the fire had not extended into the interior of the structure.  The fire was quickly extinguished with minimal damage to the structure. 

Florence units were assisted by Engine 1351 from Point Pleasant Fire Protection District.
