Classes held at Evelyn Kalb Gathering House in the Florence Nature Park. Class is 6hrs & time may vary depending on the availability of the instructor. Open to girls & boys ages 11-15. Fee is $40. Call (859)647-5439 for more information. |
| Tae Kwon Do |
| The City of Florence Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Tri-State ATA Black Belt Academy to provide TaeKwonDo lessons 3 days a week Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays. The fee is $60 and reduced rates for additional family members. The Academy is located at 8140 Dream St. Contact Instructor Marsha Gerkin at (859) 781-0995 for details. |
| Skyhawks Sports Camp |
The sports camps are conducted at Orleans Park for one week in June and one week in July for children ages 3-12. Tiny Hawks Camp is for ages 3-4 and held for one hour focusing on soccer and basketball. Mini Hawks Camp is for ages 4-6 held 3 hours and will teach the fundamentals of multiple sports developing balance, eye/hand coordination and movement. Multi Sport Camp is for ages 6-12 and is held from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm teaching soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball and flag football. For details go to www.skyhawks.com. The registration forms will be available in January and will be distributed in Florence School in the spring.
