The elected officials and staff of the City of Florence express their deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Lance Corporal Adam Peak. His family and friends describe him as always seeking to help someone. His service to his country truly exemplifies that. It is difficult when any of our service members lose their life in service to our country. It is particularly difficult when that hero is from our community. As the community of Florence grieves with the Peak family, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. May all of those serving in the various branches of our military remain safe and return home soon.
