The City Coordinator holds the title of the senior employee. She reports directly to the Mayor, and all Department Heads report directly to the City Coordinator. The Coordinator advises the Mayor and Council in policy formulation and strategic planning. Her authority includes planning, evaluation, and day-to-day administration of all phases of municipal operations including finance and budgeting, personnel, planning, building and zoning, public safety and capital projects. She serves as liaison between the City and other governmental units, the business community, and the community at large.

Under the direction of the City Coordinator, the Community/Business Development Director acts as the principal advisor to the Mayor, City Coordinator, Council and other officials with regard to economic/community development administration. He assists the City Coordinator with special projects and city administrative activities.
